Our story began in 1981, when our founder, Joe Alf, started the company with a passion for horticulture. Over the years, we have honed our expertise in designing, installing, and maintaining classic landscapes in Central Florida.

Our Team and Expertise

Joe Alf, our President and Plant Specialist, is a Florida native with a vast knowledge of local horticulture. He has spent over 40 years studying and growing plants in Central Florida's unique climate conditions. With an extensive private collection of palms, ornamental plants, and turf varieties, Joe has gained valuable insight into what plants thrive in the region. He has also worked with various garden associations and represented the Florida Institute of Technology Botanical Garden on PBS and at the American Association of Botanical Gardens.

Ben Alf, our Vice President, is a born-and-bred Floridian with a passion for the lawn and landscape industry. With years of experience in operating a business, Ben is committed to making Tropic Greenery the most efficient and productive company in Brevard County.

Janie Alf, our Office Manager, has been with the company for over 35 years. With a Bachelor's degree from Brevard Community College, Janie has an extensive knowledge of the business side of landscaping. She manages the office, ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
