Stone Garden Design was established in 2002 as a sister company to Newell Bros Tree and Landscaping Service. Matthew Newell, founder of both companies, started serving the northern Colorado area in 1993 as an active licensed arborist. The business initially focused on arboriculture and the passion for working with trees and plants. However, as the business continued to build and service a long list of repeat clients, Matt also devoted much time and interest to landscape design, which finally allowed him to express his creativity when he launched Stone Garden Design LLC.

For almost twenty years, the goal of Stone Garden Design was, and is to this day, to focus on creating outdoor environments that would bridge the gap between beautiful homes and beautiful landscapes. We have continued to help our clients match their individual tastes and needs to the areas of their home that Colorado offers so many opportunities to enjoy. The Outdoors!
