Business Details
We founded Silvermine Gardens in 2000 as a partnership between husband and wife Jan Peterson and James Kiszka, bringing together a passion for horticulture and a background in civil engineering. With over twenty years of experience, we have designed and installed custom gardens and landscapes throughout Fairfield County, CT. Our team specializes in garden design, stone patios, walls, walkways, terraces, lighting, irrigation, and perennial planting, delivering both beauty and functionality. We also provide comprehensive maintenance, onsite coaching, and educational workshops to empower homeowners to care for their landscapes. By combining horticultural expertise with engineering precision, we solve complex design challenges and create resilient, lowmaintenance outdoor spaces. We pride ourselves on strict adherence to safety standards, and we are fully licensed and insured for our clients peace of mind.
Our portfolio showcases projects ranging from intimate, tranquil gardens to grand, fullscale renovations, each tailored to the clients vision. We maintain longterm relationships with suppliers, including the Stewart Flowers retail florist we acquired in 2001, ensuring access to highquality plants and materials. Our commitment to client satisfaction is reflected in our personalized service and the many repeat referrals we receive from delighted homeowners. Every project is approached with a focus on sustainability, costefficiency, and aesthetic excellence, guaranteeing lasting value for our clients. We continually invest in professional development and industry certifications to stay ahead of trends and deliver innovative solutions.
