Our History

The story of Gosnell Tree & Landscape began in 1959 when Tom Gosnell, the founder, started a small tree care business in Santa Barbara. Over the years, the company has grown and evolved, but the core values of exceptional service and honesty have remained unchanged. Tom Gosnell was not just a businessman, but also a passionate arborist who won the first International Society of Arboriculture International Tree Climbing Championship in 1976 and became the world champion. He was also featured in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the fastest tree climber in the world.

Tom's son, Casey Gosnell, joined the business at a young age and took over in 1994. He expanded the company's services to include landscape design, installation, and maintenance, making Gosnell Tree & Landscape a one-stop-shop for all your home improvement needs. Today, the company is a family-run business with Casey's daughter, Jasmine, working in the office and his wife, Theresa, handling the bookkeeping.
