Desire. Craft. Experience.
Our Mission: Gardening to Make a Difference
In 2014, two former school teachers, Cheryl Rehrig and Denise Hoeksema, founded the Inland Bays Garden Center with a unique vision: to empower people to cultivate healthy gardens and restore the environment through native plants. We believe gardening isn't just about aesthetics, but about fostering ecological balance and supporting local ecosystems.
Our Expertise: Native Plants & Beyond
Our extensive selection of native plants includes trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, succulents, tropicals, vegetables, herbs, and annuals. We meticulously curate our offerings to ensure the highest quality plant material that is well-suited for the local climate and environment. Our knowledgeable staff can offer guidance on choosing plants that are pollinator-friendly, deer-resistant, drought-tolerant, and ideal for rain gardens.
Beyond the Plants
We offer more than just plants! You'll find a wide range of containers, tools, potting soil mixes, amendments, pest control, and garden decor to complete your gardening experience. We also provide:
- Custom Raised Bed Planters: Say goodbye to gardening limitations! We design and build elevated planters perfect for year-round growing, regardless of soil conditions.
- Educational Programs & Workshops: From workshops on container gardening to talks on native plants, we engage the community and foster a culture of ecological awareness.
- Community Involvement: We actively participate in local initiatives like the Inland Bays Adopt-A-Canal/Road-End Program and the South Bethany Community Enhancement Committee, demonstrating our commitment to environmental responsibility.
