At Rockaway Inc., our legacy is built on professionalism, growth, and a passion for all things green. Founded in 1981 by the Burghardt brothers, Greg Jr. and Brian, as Rockaway Garden Center in New Jersey, our roots were firmly planted in a love for the natural world. Our childhood experiences working in the family nursery and tree farms, coupled with our degrees in Plant Science and Landscape Design, laid the foundation for our future success.
Our Story
As we honed our skills at two of the nation's leading landscaping companies, Davey Tree and ValleyCrest, we returned to our entrepreneurial roots in 2009. Rebranding the family business as Rockaway Inc. in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, we embarked on a new chapter, expanding our services beyond the garden center to encompass comprehensive, sustainable landscape solutions. Our journey has been marked by continuous innovation and a keen understanding of market trends.
