Our story began in 1987 when Gary Mortimer, a certified nursery specialist, founded Mortimer Landscaping Company. Gary's love for plants and garden design led him to open Mortimer Nursery in December 1995. Since then, we have grown to become Prescott's premier garden center, serving the community for over three decades.

Our founder, Gary Mortimer, grew up in Iowa, where his family owned a corn and soybean farm. After moving to Phoenix, Arizona, Gary discovered his passion for plants and gardening while working for a landscaping and nursery company. This passion led him to Prescott, where he fell in love with the community and decided to open his own landscaping company. In 1996, Gary met his wife, Sharla, and together they have grown Mortimer Nursery & Landscaping into a thriving business.
