Your Trusted Garden Center & Nursery in Princeton, NJ
Established in 1939, Peterson's Nursery has evolved from a roadside produce stand to a full-service garden center and landscaping company. Our journey began with a 6-year-old selling blackberries at our family home and has grown into a second-generation family business operating on nearly 8 acres bordering Princeton and Lawrenceville, NJ. We continue to offer fresh local produce, much of which is grown onsite, while pioneering organic gardening practices since the 1980s. Our commitment to sustainability includes eliminating chemical pesticides in favor of beneficial insects like ladybugs and using liquid seaweed as fertilizer. The nursery maintains a park-like environment with wildlife thriving among our plants, reflecting our dedication to creating a natural, chemical-free space. We prioritize environmental responsibility by sourcing inventory locally to minimize freight distances and using energy-efficient greenhouse practices. Our knowledgeable team provides expert guidance on plant selection, installation, and organic gardening solutions, ensuring customers receive personalized service rooted in decades of experience. We offer delivery and installation services for plants, bulk materials, and custom landscaping projects, combining traditional horticultural expertise with modern sustainable practices to meet diverse gardening needs.
