Our Story

Founded in 2000, Creative Habitats was founded by Corey O'Steen, who had previously operated a yard and lawn maintenance company. However, after years of maintaining lawns, Corey found that he was more passionate about designing and installing landscapes. With this newfound focus, he sold his maintenance company and dedicated himself to creating outdoor spaces that truly brought joy to his clients.

Over the years, Creative Habitats has grown to 15 dedicated employees, all of whom are dedicated to helping clients create the outdoor space of their dreams. Our team is comprised of talented landscape designers who excel in understanding your wishes and making them a reality.

Our Team

Meet Corey O'Steen, our owner and Lead Designer. With a background in Pre-Med and Mechanical Engineering, Corey brings a unique set of skills to the world of landscape design. Under his guidance, our team of talented designers has won numerous awards and recognitions, including the Master Gardener Tour House, the Opelika Beautification Award, and the Auburn Yard of the Year.
