We founded Close Cut Landscaping in 2002 and have proudly served the Chagrin Valley area for over two decades. Our founder, Ernie Visnicky, grew up in Orange Village and is a secondgeneration alumnus of Orange High School. We gained foundational experience as a landscape laborer at Geauga Lake Amusement Park in the late 1990s. We were promoted to Senior Section Manager after two years at Geauga Lake, overseeing landscape and park services departments. We worked for several local landscape companies from 1999 through 2006, refining our timemanagement and customersatisfaction skills. Our roles there strengthened our attention to detail and our commitment to delivering pristine property appearances.
We launched Close Cut Landscaping as a parttime venture while maintaining fulltime employment elsewhere. We transitioned to a fulltime operation after a few years of steady growth, dedicating ourselves entirely to landscape excellence. We specialize in spring cleanups, bed edging, mulch installation, weed control, fertilization, weekly lawn maintenance, fall cleanups, storm cleanups, snowplowing, and pressure washing. Our team applies proven horticultural practices to ensure healthy turf, wellmaintained beds, and visually appealing outdoor spaces. Services
Spring Cleanups
Spring Cleanups clear leaves, branches, and debris from lawns and planting beds, checking trees and shrubs for broken branches. We prune hedges, shrubs, and trees for a natural shape and edge mulch beds when mulch installation is scheduled. The landscape is inspected and groomed for optimal appearance, and contracted snowplow damage is repaired at no extra charge.
Weekly Lawn Maintenance
Our specially trained crew provides weekly lawn cutting during the growing season, weather permitting. We police grounds for trash and obstructions, then cut turf at proper height in opposite directions on alternating visits. We return clippings to the turf, trim weeds in hardtoreach areas, and edge concrete borders along walkways, sidewalks, and driveways.
Bed & Shrub Maintenance
Our staff safeguards the appearance of shrub beds, natural areas with mulch and ground cover. We maintain bed lines established by a vertical trench method as needed throughout the growing season. We also weed mulch beds and tree rings when mulch installation is scheduled.
Snowplowing
Snowplowing is offered as a contracted service across the Chagrin Valley area, covering Orange Village, Solon, Chagrin Falls, Pepper Pike, Hunting Valley, Moreland Hills, Twinsburg, Aurora, and Bentleyville. When under contract, any snowplow damage is repaired at no extra charge. If not contracted, snowplowing is billed as an additional charge.
Mulch
Mulch is one of the services offered by Close Cut Landscaping across the Chagrin Valley area. When mulch installation is scheduled, our team weeds mulch beds and tree rings. We then apply a deep, wellmanicured trench edge to the beds and rings.
