Our Story

Our journey began when our founder and owner, Todd Murphy, started his career in the landscaping industry 37 years ago. He began working at a local garden center where he spent 13 years learning the ins and outs of the retail business and developing an education in Horticulture. His fascination with the cultivation process led him to Landscape Horticulture, which includes the production, marketing, and maintenance of landscape plants.

In 1990, Todd decided to take his passion to the next level by starting Murphy's Nursery at his residence. He cultivated shrubs and trees and sold them to the wholesale market. As his knowledge and experience grew, he felt the need to expand into the Landscape Design and Installation sector. This led him to new employment opportunities where he gained 9 years of experience in landscape design and installation.

With a strong foundation and years of experience under his belt, Todd decided to open Murphy's Nursery to the retail landscaping market in 2004. His commitment to his clients has always been to provide personalized service, exceptional value, and unparalleled craftsmanship. From design to installation, Todd ensures that every project is handled with the utmost professionalism and dedication.
