Questions
Will weeds grow through newly installed pavers?
No, properly installed pavers with polymeric sand joints prevent weed growth through the stone base and surface.
How long does grass seed germination take?
Germination periods vary: rye grass (10 days), Kentucky blue grass (5 weeks), Fescue grass (21 days), depending on temperature and moisture.
What's the best way to water new shrubs?
Water deeply but less frequently at the root ball area during morning hours to promote healthy growth and prevent fungus.
What are the benefits of mulch vs stone?
Mulch retains moisture and decomposes naturally while stone provides long-term weed control without decomposition, with combinations often optimal.
Can plants be installed during summer?
Yes, with proper planting techniques including root ball preparation, enriched soil mixtures, and careful soil compaction to ensure plant stability.
