Holmes Landscape Company, founded by Larry C. Holmes, has been providing high-quality landscape services for over four decades. With a strong focus on innovative technologies and techniques, the company assists clients by offering landscape design and renovations, soil and plant fertility programs, problem soil solutions, and weekly water management and usage monitoring.

Larry Holmes, the President of Holmes Landscape Company, graduated from Fallbrook High school and earned his A.A. in Horticulture from Mira Costa College. His interest in ornamental horticulture was sparked during his studies at Mira Costa College under Mr. William Thompson. Holmes obtained his Landscape Contractor license in 1974 and formed the company shortly after. Over the years, the company expanded its services to include general builders licenses, large custom homes, and commercial projects. Notable projects include the Cassidy Street Stairs for the City of Oceanside, Woodland Park for the City of San Marcos, and landscape irrigation for the Navy at 32nd Street.

In 1982, Holmes Landscape expanded its business to include commercial landscape maintenance. The company's first commercial business customer was the Burroughs Corporation in Carlsbad, and its first homeowners association client was Peacock Meadows in Oceanside. After obtaining his California State Teaching Credential, Holmes returned to Mira Costa College as an instructor, providing a unique perspective of owner and teacher of landscape management and landscape construction. This marked the beginning of the company's rapid growth. Today, Holmes Landscape Company employs over 116 maintenance field personnel and 35 trucks, a tree division of 8 field employees operating 3 bucket trucks and chippers, 4 full-service irrigation techs, and a complete field and service staff of 13 to assist throughout San Diego's North County. The success of Holmes Landscape Company is attributed to Larry Holmes' personal integrity, hard work, and the dedication of his employees.
