Our Story

Our journey began with our founder, Dennis, who has been fortunate enough to work in various aspects of landscaping throughout his career. Early on, he honed his skills at a Walnut Creek retail nursery, where he developed an understanding of the intricacies of landscapes, including the impact of microclimates in the Bay Area. This foundation allowed him to build strong relationships with clients, who later sought his expertise in designing and building beautiful, complex landscapes.

As Dennis's expertise grew, he recognized the need for formal education in landscape architecture. He was accepted into the prestigious University of California, Davis, and received his degree in Landscape Architecture in the early 1990s. This education enabled him to specialize in residential design and construction projects that incorporate environmental sustainability.

Dennis, our founder, brings over three decades of experience in the landscaping industry. Kristen, our in-house designer, joined the family business after previously working in the medical sales industry. She brings a unique perspective, having grown up watching her father and grandfather tend to their garden. Kristen's background in fashion design and medical sales has fostered her love for aesthetics and problem-solving, making her an invaluable asset to our team.
