Building relationships one landscape at a time

George Bridge Landscape Design is a premier provider of unique and mature plants, trees, and boxwood in the country. Our collections are located on twenty-five acres called Acorn Farm and in Southern Virginia on three hundred acres. Our mission is to cater to high-end landscape designers and architects, providing them with the highest quality plant material for their projects. Our expertise has been recognized through our own landscape design work, with notable projects including the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C., the National Sporting Library in Middleburg, Virginia, and other institutions and private residences in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia.

Our Services

At George Bridge Landscape Design, we specialize in hand-digging and handling large specimen plant material. Our processes include hand trenching the root ball and filling with water and/or a root bio-stimulant, followed by hand-digging the entire root ball, cutting individual roots, and shaping the ball as necessary. We also provide custom straps and specialized machinery to gently lift the trees out of the ground and transport them to their final destination. Our team takes great care to properly tie in branches within the confines of the trailers and secure the root balls to ensure a safe and successful delivery.

Our Facilities

Our Maryland facility, Acorn Farm, is situated on 20 acres, with 15 acres set up as an arboretum-style nursery operation. Our collection of plant material is scattered throughout the farm, allowing visitors to see how different plant materials work together. We pride ourselves on individual care for each plant, including soil preparation, hand watering, and root pruning as necessary. Our unique approach to specialized plant collection and handling enables us to provide our clients with the finest plant material for their projects.
