Our landscape roots date back to the 1800's when Noah Shreckhise started Augusta Nurseries on the family farm in Augusta County. The family business evolved to include landscaping when Noah's nephews started Shreckhise Brothers, a nursery and landscape production business. Beginning in the 1800's, each generation of the Shreckhise family has brought quality landscaping and exceptional service to Virginia. In fact, Steve and Mike Shreckhise, owners of Shreckhise Shrubbery, started out working for Shreckhise Brothers. In 1978, Steve Shreckhise started Shreckhise Shrubbery Sales and Landscaping because he wanted to focus on wholesale production and was soon joined by his younger brother Mike. In true family tradition, Steve's teenage son Robert, and Mike's teenage son Michael started helping out after school and during summer breaks. Little did they know, their beginning at the family business would shape their careers. After college, both Robert and Michael officially signed on full-time with the Shreckhise Shrubbery Team in 2006. Today, Steve, Robert, Mike, and Michael are proud to be the 4th generation of Shreckhise Landscapers. With over 100 years of combined experience - we're committed to continuing the tradition of bringing you locally grown plants, excellent service, and expert solutions to your landscaping challenges.
