Our Story

Our journey began with a passion for plants and a love for creating beautiful outdoor spaces. Our founder, Elizabeth Poston, grew up surrounded by nature and developed a passion for horticulture from a young age. Her childhood obsession with Burpee Seed Catalogs and bare root plants laid the foundation for her future career in landscape design. After completing her Bachelor's of Science in Environmental Science from Cal Poly, Elizabeth went on to service the greater Bay Area with landscape design and management services. In 2010, she relocated to Nevada County and launched Living Outdoors Landscape Design, which later became Living Outdoors Landscapes with the addition of her partner, Dan Poston.
