Our Story

Our journey began in 1996 when our founder graduated from Lansing High School. During his high school years, he worked as a groundskeeper for the Rose Inn, where he gained experience in installing landscaping, paver patios, and walkways. This experience sparked his passion for pursuing a career in this field. After high school, he furthered his education at the State University of New York at Morrisville, studying landscape design and construction. He continued his education at Cornell University, where he majored in Plant Science and minored in Business.

While attending Cornell, he founded Elegant Estates and gained valuable hands-on experience. He noticed a lack of reliable paver patio and paver sidewalk contractors in the industry, which motivated him to conduct research and find certification courses. He discovered courses offered by ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) and NCMA (National Concrete Masonry Association), which taught contractors and staff how to properly install pavers and retaining wall systems.

This was a turning point for Elegant Estates. We realized that our niche in the local industry would be to design and install paver projects the correct way. With our staff on board, we learned that the installation of these systems was a strict process that required careful attention to detail.
