We offer over 5,000 trees including shade trees, fruit trees, and ornamental varieties like Japanese Maples and Weeping Cherry. Our selection features both common and specialty species such as Dogwoods, Crabapples, and Sycamores. All trees are carefully nurtured in our climate-controlled facilities to ensure optimal health and transplant success.
Shrubs
Our nursery features extensive shrub selections including Compact Burning Bush, Emerald N Gold Euonymus, and various Lilac species. We carry both common garden favorites and unique cultivars like Dwarf Korean Lilac and Neon Flash Spirea. All shrubs are grown under expert horticultural care for maximum vitality.
Perennials
We grow over 10,000 homegrown perennials in quart to two-gallon sizes. Our inventory includes Cone Flowers, Daylilies, Peonies, and specialty varieties like Monarda and Salvia. Plants are cultivated in our state-of-the-art greenhouses to ensure robust root development and seasonal performance.
Bonsai
Our bonsai collection features specimens ranging from young starters to mature 80-year-old trees. We offer various styles and species with expert guidance on care and maintenance. Pete Kossoudji founded North Dayton Garden Center in 1963 after starting with a small greenhouse. With over 50 years in the horticulture business, he continues to maintain daily involvement in operations while sharing his extensive gardening expertise with customers.
Rick Kossoudji
Co-Owner
Rick Kossoudji began working at the garden center at age 5 and now serves as co-owner. With decades of hands-on experience growing vegetables and perennials, he manages daily operations and continues the family tradition of quality plant cultivation.
